FME Employees distinguished during the ceremonial Senate of Gdańsk Tech

On Wednesday, December 6th, a ceremonial session of the Senate of Gdańsk University of Technology took place in the Aula PG. During the event, medals, decorations, and awards were presented to the university staff and individuals associated with our academic community.

The ceremonial session of the Senate of Gdańsk University of Technology was attended by Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, the rector of PG, as well as members of the rector's college, representatives of faculty authorities, student self-government, and invited guests.

During the event, employees of the Faculty of Management and Economics were recognized and awarded, including:

On November 23 and 24, 2023, the 3rd International Conference "Quality and its applications 2023. Towards sustainable future" was held at the Faculty of Management and Economics, Gdansk University of Technology, organized by the Daniel Fahrenheit Association of Universities in Gdansk, Gdansk University of Technology and the University of Gdansk.

Great Climate Knowledge Test at FME

In the second edition of the Great Climate Knowledge Test, 119 students from nine high schools participated at the Faculty of Management and Economics of the Gdańsk University of Technology. The event was organized by "Gazeta Wyborcza." The top participant turned out to be Dominik Walaszkowski, a third-year student from the Vocational and General Secondary Schools Complex in Kartuzy.

Students from Gdynia, Gdańsk, Reda, and Kartuzy took part in the initiative. The Great Climate Knowledge Test was simultaneously organized in six cities in Poland: Warsaw, Wrocław, Opole, Katowice, Lublin and Gdańsk.

Study Visit of Edu4QI at the University of Stavanger

On September 25-26, the Edu4QI project team conducted its fourth Study Visit at the University of Stavanger

During the meeting, participants discussed their experiences with the testing phase of new postgraduate studies aimed at improving quality. They delved into the approach for each module and received feedback from participants during and after the course. The knowledge gained will be utilized to enhance the development of educational materials.

Premiere of "The Big Book of Online Education"

We are pleased to announce the release of an extraordinary publication titled "The Big Book of Online Education," developed as part of the E-TECH project conducted by Gdańsk University of Technology in collaboration with partners: Politecnica delle Marche in Ancona, Italy; Joanneum Gesellschaft MBH in Graz, Austria; and with the support of the Academic E-learning Association SEA.

The project leader of E-TECH was Dr. Eng. Marek Chodnicki from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, with substantive leadership by MSc. Alina Guzik from the Faculty of Management and Economics. Additionally, key members of the implementation team from Gdańsk University of Technology included Dr. Iwona Mokwa-Tarnowska - editor, e-learning expert (CJO); MSc. Kinga Dytrych - graphic designer (FMEetw); MSc. Maciej Zaremba - editor, coordinator (WIMIO); Dr. Hab. Eng. Mariusz Deja, university professor - project supervisor (WIMIO).

High "Business and Economics" research quality in World University Rankings

World University Rankings
In this year's World University Rankings 2024 by subject - Gdańsk University of Technology took 1st place among Polish universities in the areas of "Engineering" and "Physical Sciences" in terms of research quality and 3rd place in the area of "Business and Economics".

In total, Gdańsk University of Technology was classified in five fields. In addition to "Physical Sciences", "Engineering", "Computer Sciences" and "Business and Economics" included in the previous edition of the ranking, this year it was also classified for the first time in the "Life Sciences" area.

In the rankings for the areas of "Engineering", "Computer Sciences", "Business and Economics" and "Life Sciences", Gdańsk University of Technology was placed in the range of 601-800, and in the "Physical Sciences" ranking in the range of 801-1000.
