Conference "Technology, Innovation, and Growth": Call for Papers
Distinguished economists will deliver keynote lectures: Prof. Holger Görg (Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Germany), Prof. Klaus Prettner (Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria), Prof. Francesco Venturini (University of Perugia, Italy), and Prof. Jakub Growiec (Warsaw School of Economics). The conference will also feature the presentation of research results by the team led by Dr. habil. Eng. Aleksandra Parteka, a university professor at Gdańsk University of Technology, as part of a project funded by the National Science Centre titled "Technological Specialization and Productivity Divergence in the Era of Digitization, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence."
We invite submissions related to the economic role of innovation and technological progress, with a focus on automation, digitization, and artificial intelligence. Topics covered during the conference will include:
- Latest trends in the development of technological knowledge.
- The impact of digital technologies on productivity, economic growth, inequalities, and labor markets.
- Methodological advances in quantifying digital progress.
- Technology/innovation in economic growth models.
Both theoretical and empirical research are welcome.
Deadline for submissions (full paper or extended abstract): February 29, 2024. Notification: March 15, 2024.
