The defense will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 1:15 PM in room 110/111 of the Faculty of Management and Economics, Traugutta Street 79, Gdańsk.

The thesis supervisor is Małgorzata Zięba, PhD, DSc, Professor of Gdańsk Tech. The doctoral dissertation and reviews are available in the Reading Room of the Main Library of the Gdańsk Tech, Gdańsk, G. Narutowicza Street 11/12.

At the Elets World Education Summit, academia, education leaders, community organizations, and public institutions from around the world gather to discuss the future of education. The Education Impact Leadership Award, awarded to Joanna Czerska, PhD, honors leaders whose actions translate into a real change in teaching approaches and prepare young people for the challenges of the modern world. The jury recognized:

This year, students attending the courses Principles of Management and Fundamentals of Management tackled real business challenges prepared by Beatrice Fauriez, CEO of Hermes Logistics, and Wojciech Trzebiatowski, Head of the Koliber Program at ORLEN. Elżbieta Karwowska, Ph D.  was responsible for the initiative's development, coordination, partner acquisition, and student preparation.

During her stay, Ms Claire Faugère met with the Vice-Dean for Development, Michał Tomczak, Ph.D, D.Sc,  as well as the Dean’s Representative for Mobility and the Faculty Erasmus+ Coordinator, Dr Katarzyna Stankiewicz. She toured the campus and the Faculty, which made a great impression on her thanks to the harmonious blend of history and modernity.

Similar positions were achieved in Physical Sciences and Life Sciences, while Computer Science was ranked in the 801–1000 range.

We are proud to announce that  Wioleta Kucharska, Ph.D., D.Sc. Gdańsk Tech professor, has received funding for a research project in the NCN OPUS 29 for the project entitled „WOMEN in STEM: diversity, inclusion, and equality in TECH universities – 'role models' impact’”. Wioleta Kucharska, Ph.D., D.Sc., wants to identify and measure the impact of factors and experiences acquired by young women while studying STEM fields, which are directly linked to their career path choices.

We extend our sincerest congratulations on behalf of the Dean, Małgorzata Gawrycka, Ph.D., D.Sc., Professor at Gdańsk University of Technology, and the entire academic community. We wish success in the further development of her academic career and satisfaction from each new research project.

The conference marks the conclusion of the international AICOSERV project, co-funded under the Erasmus+ EMDM Programme. The project is coordinated by Gdańsk University of Technology and implemented in collaboration with consortium partners from Austria, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Ukraine, and Poland.
