We are pleased to announce that Magdalena Popowska, Ph.D., D.Sc., from the Department of Entrepreneurship and Institutional Environment has been awarded the habilitation degree in the field of Social Sciences, in the discipline of Management and Quality Sciences.

We extend our sincerest congratulations on behalf of the Dean, Małgorzata Gawrycka, Ph.D., D.Sc., Professor at Gdańsk University of Technology, and the entire academic community. We wish success in the further development of her academic career and satisfaction from each new research project.

The Faculty of Management and Economics at Gdańsk University of Technology invites you to the final conference of the international AICOSERV project, “AI for Public Sector Co-Creation: Values, Challenges and Competences” to be held on January 19, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Faculty of Management and Economics (rooms 110/111).

The conference marks the conclusion of the international AICOSERV project, co-funded under the Erasmus+ EMDM Programme. The project is coordinated by Gdańsk University of Technology and implemented in collaboration with consortium partners from Austria, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Ukraine, and Poland.

On October 20, students of the course Business Development and Career Path, led by Dr Barbara Stepnowska from the Department of Human Capital, took part in an interactive workshop focused on global job market trends and career development. The session gathered students of the International Business Management specialisation (Bachelor’s degree, 5th semester).

The workshop, titled “Job Market Trends and Career Management,” was conducted by Agnieszka Krzemień, an expert from the American company ManpowerGroup – a global leader in talent strategy, workforce transformation, and employment trends analysis.

Annual Hanse-Parlament Assembly and international conference in Gdańsk

Annual Hanse-Parlament
On 17–19 September 2025, Gdańsk hosted the annual Assembly of the Hanse-Parlament, an organisation bringing together chambers of crafts, commerce, industry and universities from 13 countries of the Baltic Sea region and Northern Europe. The event was accompanied by the international conference “Securing skills and innovations for SMEs”, focusing on workplace innovation and the potential of dual education as a key driver of growth for small and medium-sized enterprises.

In addition to plenary discussions, the programme included thematic workshops and working meetings of project teams cooperating under the Hanse-Parlament framework. A special focus was placed on the BA&VET project, in which Gdańsk University of Technology plays an active role.
