PhD David Duenas-Cid as the MSCA Fellow of the Week

David is an H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Widening Fellow and Assistant Professor at the Gdansk University of Technology. He was awarded an MSCA grant to research the "Dynamics of Trust and Distrust creation in Internet Voting". The research uses discourse analysis and in-depth interviews to map the emergence of trust and distrust and the elements that sustain them.
What did you do for the planet? Contest

The main idea is to gather all individual or team initiatives which support sustainable development, undertaken in 2022-2023, and recognize the best ones!
All submissions will be reported to the Principles for Responsible Management Education by the end of 2023. Due to the report’s form, we will be able to outline the performance of FME departments and student groups and even compare them.

Open meeting with Nordea bank representatives, on March 22nd

We cordially invite students to a meeting with representatives of the Nordea bank - the largest Scandinavian bank, which is also one of the largest employers in the Tri-City. The company offers work both for IT specialists and in other business areas.
During the meeting, the issue of fraud will be presented. The audience will also have the opportunity to talk about monitoring financial transactions and imposing financial sanctions (also in the context of the war in Ukraine) as well as aspects related to financial risk management by the bank.

In mid-September 2022, the "Hey, are you OK?" project was launched at Gdańsk University of Technology. The main goal of it is to support the emotional health of students and employees. The activities are coordinated by Gdańsk Tech International Relations Office.

No more paper theses

"The change in PG's Rules and Regulations, which abolished the obligation for students to print their theses, is a consequence of the implementation of Gdansk University of Technology's organizational culture, part of which is environmental protection. We are aware that paper production is associated with significant depletion of natural resources, as well as high energy consumption. The need to submit printed versions of papers was due to the regulations previously in force.
