Grants in the Technetium IDUB competition for the lecturers at the FME

As part of the Technetium IDUB competition, nearly PLN 500,000 was granted to support the activities of academic lecturers who look after particularly talented students and who get involved in research activities in POB Centres.

30 applications were submitted, 20 of which received funding, including 2 from academic teachers from the Faculty of Management and Economics.

Mayor of Gdańsk Fahrenheit Scholarship for International PhD Students

 The Mayor of Gdańsk in cooperation with the Fahrenheit Universities have created Fahrenheit scholarships for the best three PhD students from abroad.

A title of doctor habilitatus for a scientist from the Faculty of Management and Economics

We are pleased to inform you that dr hab. inż. Wioleta Kucharska from the Department of Management at the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology has been awarded the title of doctor habilitatus by the Scientific Council of the Discipline of Management and Quality Studies from the University of Warsaw.

On behalf of Dean dr hab.  Małgorzata Gawrycka and the entire academic community of the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology, we would like to congratulate Wioleta Kucharska and wish her further success.

Researchers from Gdańsk Tech at the Women in Tech Summit 2022 conference

Gdańsk University of Technology is once again one of the Polish technical universities that received the status of Academic Partner of the Women in Tech Summit conference, organized by the "Perspektywy" Educational Foundation. During the fourth edition of the event, five women will appear among the representatives of Gdańsk Tech: three scientists from the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics: Natalia Wójcik, PhD, Marta Prześniak-Welenc, PhD, Małgorzata Nadolska, MSc, Justyna Sudakowska and Atoosa Bahrani from the International Relations Office at Gdańsk Tech.

The aim of the Women in Tech Summit project is to support innovation processes in the field of IT and new technologies, as well as the international promotion of Poland as a place of high-quality IT education.

The two-day conference is to host over 5,000 talented women from Europe, Central Asia and the USA – including students, representatives of the academic environment and industry, IT specialists, experts in the field of STEM, representatives of the innovation sector and the world of public policy.

A title of doctor habilitatus for dr hab. Adam Marszk

We are pleased to inform you that dr hab. Adam Marszk from the Department of Economics was granted the title of doctor habilitatus by the Scientific Field Council of Social Sciences of the Gdańsk University of Technology.

Dr hab. Adam Marszk has been associated with the Gdańsk University of Technology for many years.

Project meeting of KNOWMAN Team in Gdańsk

On May 19-20, 2022, the meeting of international teams realizing the KNOWMAN project (Knowledge Management Training for KIBS SMEs) was held at Gdańsk University of Technology. It was substantive, creative and, above all, extremely productive.

The meeting was attended by representatives of four partner universities: Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), which is the project leader, National School of Political and Administrative Studies SNSPA (Romania), University of Padua (Italy) and Gdańsk University of Technology, as well as partners from the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Estonia) and 4Experience sp.z o.o. (Poland).

The project of the FME receives funding under the Uranium programme

The project "Eco-Manager or Ecological Economics and Management of Sustainable Development as an Introduction to the Professions of the Future" developed by mgr Piotr Kasprzak, Assistant at the Faculty of Management and Economics, in cooperation with mgr Alina Guzik, Specialist for Innovation and Development, received funding under the programme Uranium Supporting Cooperation With High Schools, the purpose of which is to promote the Gdańsk University of Technology among young people.

Tutoring

We invite students of the Faculty of Management to participate in the program using the tutoring method. The program aims to support students in their educational, scientific and professional development through individual work with a tutor. Tutoring is a personalized form of learning based on a student-tutor relationship, where the student develops his / her interests and the tutor helps and supports him in line with his/her area of expertise.
