Karol Flisikowski
Since 2007 I have been working at the Department of Statistics and Econometrics where I mainly deal with data analysis and statistics. At our university, you can meet me during subjects in the major: of Analytics and Data Engineering (mathematical statistics, descriptive statistics, data analysis). I also work at Chongqing Technology and Business University in China, and previously, for a year, I was employed at International College, I-Shou University in Taiwan. In the meantime, I also worked as a credit analyst, and built and monitored credit scoring models for several institutions.
Currently, I am interested in modelling credit risk and household budget constraints. I am constantly improving my classes and learning new analytical methods. I am a research supervisor of the student club "Data Science Club" (LINK). In the club, we implement interesting projects (financed by the university) and organize workshops (we use R and Python languages). I also deal with modern teaching methods, especially in the field of distance learning - e-learning.
Privately - I like travelling, especially by rail, without planning + hiking through the mountains. I have a crazy dog - Jack Russell, who fills my time 150% and is looking for new missions.
