Welcome Meeting for the newcomers at Gdańsk Tech

On Thursday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. there will be an online Welcome Meeting for all newly admitted international students.

The meeting will be held on the MS Teams platform. Foreign students will receive a link to the event by e-mail. The International Relations Office will also inform about the meeting during the registration week organized from 20 to 24 September in building no. 11. Information about the event will also be provided to students by employees of dean's offices at each faculty and Erasmus+ program faculty coordinators.

On Wednesday, September 29th at 1:00 p.m. in auditorium 107 there will be a face-to-face Welcome Meeting for all newly admitted international & Erasmus students at the Faculty of Management and Economics!

If you want to get to know the Faculty now, staff, meet other students from the exchange programmes, learn important things about studies, organizational issues -  come! - we invite you.

PS There will be some Faculty’s gifts for all coming students :)

Economics is the most popular field of study at the Gdańsk Tech!

More candidates than last year, even a dozen people per place. Economy; spatial management; business analysis; automatics, cybernetics and robotics as well as yacht design and construction - these are the top five most popular fields of study at Gdańsk University of Technology in the admission procedure for the academic year 2021/2022.

A dozen or so people applied for one place in each of these faculties. In turn, the largest number of applications in total was recorded in IT and civil engineering. In total, even more candidates applied for a place in full-time first-cycle studies at Gdańsk Tech than in the previous year - over 23,000. people.

This is it! Launch of the Impact Project

On 01 July 2021 students from XIII editions with MBA staff have launched the new Impact Project that aim is personal development and help for orangutans from Gdańsk ZOO.

Impact Project is conducted through gamification that aims on development of personal competences of each student in four pillars: Strategic Thinking / People Management & Self-development / Operational Excellence / Foundations.

Another edition of the prestigious Red Rose Competition 2021 has started in the ‘best student’ category and in the ‘best research club’ category of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, organized by the Red Rose Association, with the participation of universities operating in the Pomerania region.

Each person studying at the second cycle of education at Gdańsk University of Technology who obtained a high average grade for academic performance (for the previous 2 semesters), has scientific, sports or artistic achievements, is socially active and is able to publicly present their achievements from the period of higher education has a chance to become the ‘best student’ of Gdańsk University of Technology in 2021 and apply for the Red Rose Laurel at the Inter University Stage, in which the best student from among the best students gets a passenger car as the

Gdańsk University of Technology took second place in the country and was ranked highest among technical universities in the competition ‘Excellence Initiative - Research University’ (IDUB). The aim of the competition organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education was to select and support 10 best universities that will become research centers and will be able to successfully compete with the best universities in Europe and in the world

All beneficiaries of the IDUB program in 2020-2026 will receive a subsidy from the state budget increased by 10%.
