On July 11, 2024, the Rector, Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics, Ph.D. Małgorzata Gawrycka, Gdańsk Tech professor, officially opened the state-of-the-art multimedia classroom at the Faculty of Management and Economics. According to the main contractor, Eurotrend, it has been equipped with the most advanced audiovisual equipment currently available in the Pomeranian region.

The multimedia classroom 110/111, located on the first floor of the Faculty building, utilizes the latest technologies to enhance the quality of education and provide comfort for both students and lecturers. It features interactive whiteboards, advanced audio and video systems, and modular furniture that allows for flexible arrangement of the space to meet the needs of various classes. The room is fully equipped for hybrid lectures with installed omnidirectional microphones and cameras that automatically focus on the speaking individuals. This setup enables the combination of traditional teaching methods with modern forms of remote and blended learning. The concept and execution of this project were overseen by Mariusz Krzyżanowski, the administrative director of WZiE, along with Wojciech Drapiński and Roman Szkałuba from the IT Section of WZiE.

During the ceremony, there was a live connection with students in China, who shared with the attendees the cultural differences between Poland and China.

The newly opened space, in addition to being used for classes, will be available for conducting hybrid, international meetings, seminars, and conferences.
