PRME
We invite you to read the report on the activities of the Faculty of Management and Economics of the Gdańsk University of Technology for the benefit of our community and sustainable development in the years 2022/23 edited by dr Elżbieta Karwowska from the Management Department.

In 2019, our faculty joined the PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) – the world's largest initiative enabling collaboration between the United Nations and business schools.

"We invite you to explore the latest report from the Faculty of Management and Economics, showcasing our commitment to research, teaching, organizational improvement, and collaboration with the environment, aligning with the university's social mission. The report was produced in collaboration with the PRME organization, operating under the UN. It covers the years 2022 and 2023. We wish you enjoyable reading and hope you find plenty of inspiration for action. As the report demonstrates, we are an excellent place for work and study, but there is still much more we can achieve! This is our second such publication; the first report was published in 2021. Since then, we have experienced significant development, evident in both results and our awareness of the importance of actions for the planet," says Dr. Elżbieta Karwowska, leader of the Hub for Earth, and author of the report.

"Our goals and values align with the mission of PRME, which is to 'transform business education to develop responsible leaders for a sustainable future.' We believe that the social responsibility of the university and the dynamic, long-term development of the faculty are interdependent. The past two years have been an opportunity for us to recover from the pandemic and restore our regular activities and enthusiasm. As a result, we have earned two prestigious accreditations from AMBA and AACSB. We are proud of the progress documented in this report, but we still aspire to greater things! Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank our staff and students for their efforts. It is thanks to all of you that we have succeeded. I want to declare that the Faculty of Economics and Management remains committed to implementing the Six PRME Principles throughout our institution. We remain committed to the development of current and future managers. We will continue to inform all our stakeholders of our progress and exchange effective practices related to these principles with other academic institutions in the future," says dr hab. Małgorzata Gawrycka, professor, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics."
