A title of doctor habilitatus for a scientist from the Faculty of Management and Economics

We are pleased to inform you that dr hab. inż. Wioleta Kucharska from the Department of Management at the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology has been awarded the title of doctor habilitatus by the Scientific Council of the Discipline of Management and Quality Studies from the University of Warsaw.

On behalf of Dean dr hab.  Małgorzata Gawrycka and the entire academic community of the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology, we would like to congratulate Wioleta Kucharska and wish her further success.

Dr hab. inż. Wioleta Kucharska is a graduate of the Gdańsk University of Technology. She holds degrees in Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering as well as Management and Economics. She was awarded the Primus Inter Pares badge for the best graduate by the Rector prof. Aleksander Kołodziejczyk. In her student days, she was actively involved in the Academic Choir.

She gained her first professional experience outside the university. In the period from 2001 to 2014, she held managerial positions and effectively used the theoretical knowledge gained at our Faculty while working as a manager. She started working for the Gdańsk University of Technology in 2014. In 2016, she was awarded the title of doctor by the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology. This year, in turn, she was awarded the title of doctor habilitatus by the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw.

She is the author of 53 articles published by prestigious international publishers such as:  Emerald, Springer, Taylor & Francis or Wiley. Her article: "How to achieve sustainability? - Employee's point of view on a company's culture and CSR practice" was awarded a certificate of Top Downloaded Paper 2018-2019, Wiley. She significantly contributed to the prestigious nomination of Elsevier Research Impact Leaders Poland for our Faculty.

Research interests: organisational learning (double and triple loop), company culture, agile learning culture, tacit knowledge, change adaptability.

She has received grants: SONATA NCN: "The influence of tacit knowledge sharing on innovativeness: a sector analysis"; the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange - NAWA, BEKKER programme: "IT competency and job satisfaction. How do they influence knowledge sharing and performance across industries?", as well as the grand under the programme IDUB EUROPIUM: "Learning from errors influence on change adaptability and performance of research teams". 

Presently, she works in the Department of Management at the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology headed by prof. Krzysztof Leja.
