Erasmus+: Welcome Event for International Students
The Erasmus+ programme supports the international mobility of students and staff. It allows participants to gain knowledge and experience in a different academic environment, learn about other cultures, and develop language and social skills. Today, international exchange is much more than a traditional semester of study abroad.
This year, our Faculty is also launching cooperation on a double degree at the master's level with the University of Bamberg, covering the International Management and Economic Analytics programmes. For the first time, we are hosting students under this scheme who will complete part of their studies in Gdańsk and have the opportunity to earn degrees from both universities. Last year, we also signed the Faculty's first double degree agreement at the bachelor's level, for the Bachelor in Management programme, with Häme University of Applied Sciences in Finland.
Short, intensive forms of education are also growing in popularity, such as Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), which combine online classes with a short stay at a partner university. Erasmus+ also funds student traineeships abroad, giving students another way to gain international experience. Developing these forms of cooperation is an important part of the Faculty's internationalisation strategy: from classic exchanges, through double degree programmes, to short-term mobility and traineeships abroad.
To all our students, both those arriving and those leaving on Erasmus+ exchanges, we wish many good experiences, interesting encounters, and the best possible use of the time spent abroad or in Gdańsk. To the students who are just beginning their journey at our Faculty, we hope you will get to know not only Gdańsk and Pomerania but also other corners of Poland. We hope you will leave with good memories and become ambassadors of our Faculty, Gdańsk and Poland in the future.
