The title of Professor of Social Cciences for prof. Aleksanda Parteka | Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology

Prof. Aleksandra Parteka has been affiliated with Gdańsk Tech since 2008. Her current research focuses on trade diversification, the impact of Global Value Chains (GVCs) and technological progress on labor markets and productivity, as well as variations in innovation activity across Europe and the world. She has authored numerous research papers and publications in economics journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. She also serves as a managing editor for the journal "Gospodarka Narodowa".
Furthermore, Prof. Parteka conducts research in collaboration with international institutions. She completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and is a Fulbright Commission scholarship recipient. She has received awards and fellowships from the Foundation for Polish Science (START program), the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Scholarship for Outstanding Young Scientists, Mobility Plus program), and CERGE-EI (Teaching Fellow). She is a multiple recipient of the Rector’s Award at Gdańsk Techn and a laureate of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (Austrian Central Bank) award. She serves as an expert and reviewer for organizations such as the National Science Centre (NCN), the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), the European Commission, the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP), and the Fulbright Commission.
