A New Postgraduate Programme in the Tri-City: Become an Expert in Financial Crime Prevention!

Expert in Financial Crime Prevention!
€1.87 trillion – according to UN estimates, this is the amount of money laundered globally every year. In Poland, the threat level is assessed as very high, and profits from illegal activities may account for up to 3.34% of the country's GDP. Money laundering, fraud, and financial misconduct – these are not just headlines in the news, but real challenges faced by companies around the world. The problem is both global and local, affecting every organisation and institution.

Gdańsk University of Technology is responding to this challenge by launching the region’s first postgraduate programme in Financial Crime Prevention

An industry employing thousands – and still growing

  • More than 6,400 job offers in Poland are currently available in AML and compliance.
  • In the Tri-City alone, the business services sector employs over 35,000 people, many of them in roles related to financial security.

This is a real opportunity to build a career in a sector that shapes financial safety on a global scale.

Programme format and structure

The postgraduate studies last 2 semesters, include 194 hours of coursework, and are delivered in English in a hybrid format, combining online and on-campus classes for maximum flexibility.
