Gdańsk Tech - the best Polish technical university in THE WUR 2025
In this year's edition of the ranking, Gdańsk Tech took a place in the 1001-1200 range. This position places it ex-aequo in 5th place in Poland. It received a total of 30.7-34.4 points (in the previous edition it was 28.3-32.6).
Gdańsk Tech, together with the AGH University of Science and Technology, are the highest ranked Polish technical universities in the THE WUR 2025.
The THE WUR 2025 uses 18 indicators grouped into five areas:
- Teaching – (learning environment) - 29.5%,
- Research Environment – (size, income and reputation) – 29%,
- Research quality – (citation impact, research strength, research excellence and research impact) - 30%,
- International Outlook – Internationalization (staff, students and research) - 7.5%,
- Industry - (income and patents) - – 4%,
Gdańsk Tech achieved the best results in the following areas:
- Industry – 812th place in the world
- Research Environment – 958th place in the world
- Research Quality – 1044th place in the world
The ranking includes 39 Polish universities, which is two more than in the previous edition. The highest score was given to the Medical University of Wrocław (in the range of 501-600), followed by the Jagiellonian University and the University of Warsaw (601-800). In the range of 1001-1200, apart from Gdańsk Tech and AGH, there were also Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and three medical universities from Gdańsk, Białystok and Warsaw.
