High "Business and Economics" research quality in World University Rankings | Faculty of Management and Economics at the Gdańsk University of Technology

In total, Gdańsk University of Technology was classified in five fields. In addition to "Physical Sciences", "Engineering", "Computer Sciences" and "Business and Economics" included in the previous edition of the ranking, this year it was also classified for the first time in the "Life Sciences" area.

In the rankings for the areas of "Engineering", "Computer Sciences", "Business and Economics" and "Life Sciences", Gdańsk University of Technology was placed in the range of 601-800, and in the "Physical Sciences" ranking in the range of 801-1000.

This year's Times Higher Education by Subject ranking was conducted according to refreshed methodological specifications. The changes concerned the area of analysis of the university's publishing activity. In addition to the criteria already in force, i.e. the number of scientific papers and their citations, the following publication importance indicators have been added: Research Excellence and Research Influence. The quality assessment of universities in the ranking takes into account five main indicators: teaching, research environment, research quality and internationalization (International Outlook) and industry. Data is obtained from universities, the Scopus database and academic reputation surveys distributed among scientists.
