The ENHANCE+ project has received funding of 14.4 million euros.
The ENHANCE alliance was established in November 2019 as an association of seven European technical universities (three additional universities joined in 2022). The goal of ENHANCE is to create a European and interdisciplinary space for interaction between technological innovation, society, and the environment. The Gdansk University of Technology has been a member of ENHANCE since 2022. The consortium received funding in the new call for proposals under the "European Universities" initiative of the Erasmus+ program. Out of 65 alliances and over 500 European institutions that participated in the competition, ENHANCE+ was one of the highest-rated projects, receiving 24 out of 25 points in each evaluation category. The project will span from 2024 to 2027 and involves 10 thematic areas, with the Gdansk University of Technology leading one of them—WP 2: Human Dimension. The university will also actively participate in the activities of the other areas, focusing on various aspects such as project management, future learning, skills development, entrepreneurship, innovation, societal transformation, European education pathways, new formats and frameworks, IT infrastructure and services, diversity, impact, and dissemination. The implementation of the "ENHANCE+" project will commence in November of this year.
