The workshop focuses on methodological approaches to research on the functioning of science and knowledge systems. It is organized by the Science of Science Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Gdańsk University of Technology and will take place on 12 June 2026 at the Faculty of Management and Economics, Gdańsk University of Technology.

The event is addressed to PhD students and early-career researchers from the social sciences and humanities, as well as scholars conducting empirical analyses of science and higher education. The program combines theoretical perspectives with empirical applications, including bibliometric analysis, efficiency studies, qualitative methods, data-driven development strategies, publication strategies, and open science practices. Interactive workshops, case studies, and hands-on analyses are designed to strengthen methodological competencies and support interdisciplinary exchange.
