Consultative Council

In 2012 a Consultative Council was established at the FME. It consists of representatives of public institutions, including local authorities, employers' organizations, and the business world. Its members are also graduates of the Faculty. Activities of  Consultative Council

  • Providing opinions on  the strategic directions of the Faculty development
  • Consulting  new study programs
  • Providing opinions on changes in the profile of Faculty graduates (soft vs hard skills)
  • Actions to build the Faculty image as a trustworthy employer (joint conferences, seminars, business meetings, internships, apprenticeships, formal and informal meetings)
  • Support and participation in student initiatives
  • Building joint research and expert teams

Marcin Skwierawski

Deputy Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship


He is a graduate of two fields of study: sociology and management at the University of Gdańsk.

A dedicated social activist from the very beginning, he served as the chairman of the student government at his faculty during his studies. He is currently the vice-chairman of the Pomeranian branch of the Civic Platform party. While studying sociology, he began working with the Social Research Laboratory at the University of Gdańsk. He gained professional experience both in Poland and the United States.

He was a City Councilor of Gdańsk for two terms (2006–2014) and served as the chairman of the Local Government and Public Order Committee. He worked for 17 years in the Sopot City Hall, advancing through all levels of his career, from junior inspector to Deputy Mayor of Sopot.

Piotr Grzelak

Deputy Mayor of Gdańsk for Sustainable Development and Economy


He is a graduate of two faculties at the University of Gdańsk: Social Sciences and Economics. He has been elected as a City Councilor of Gdańsk three times, during which he served as vice-chairman of the Spatial Development and Environmental Protection Committee.

Currently, he is the Deputy Mayor of Gdańsk for Sustainable Development and Economy. Previously, he held the position of Deputy Mayor for Municipal Affairs. He also served as Vice President of the Union of the Baltic Cities, Chairman of the Urban Planning Committee of the Association of Polish Cities, Chairman of the Steering Committee for the OMGGS Strategy, Co-Chair of the Infrastructure, Urban Planning, and Transport Team at the Joint Commission of Government and Local Government, and Chairman of the Union of Maritime Cities and Municipalities.

Agnieszka Majewska

Ombudswoman for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises


Appointed as the Ombudswoman for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises on June 25, 2024.

She graduated with a degree in administration from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk, earning a Master’s in Administration. She also obtained a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Silesia. In 2010, she passed the judicial exam and was registered as a legal advisor. She completed postgraduate studies in tax consultancy at the WSB University in Gdańsk.

With 20 years of experience in administrative and business law, she has worked at the District Court in Gdańsk and the Provincial Administrative Court in Gdańsk. She collaborates with WSB Merito University, where she teaches administrative procedure. She is an expert in administrative law and has delivered numerous presentations at scientific and popular-science conferences.

Michał Dargacz

Airport City Director

Associated with Gdańsk Airport since 2005, initially as a student. Since 2007, fully employed in the Department of Economic Analysis and Marketing at Gdańsk Airport named after Lech Wałęsa. Subsequently served as a spokesperson and manager of premium passenger services. During his tenure at the airport, he also obtained qualifications as a ground traffic coordinator and airport security officer. Since August 2020, he has been the Director of Airport City Gdańsk, responsible for the development of the new airport investment - a business district at Gdańsk Airport. A graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk.

Tomasz Limon

Managing Director of 'Employers of Pomerania'

A graduate of History from the University of Gdańsk and Management Studies at the Gdańsk Management Education Foundation. Engaged in business for several years. Promoter of ethics and corporate social responsibility, personally involved in the implementation and development of social economy. A social activist and participant in the work of many representative bodies, such as the Pomeranian Entrepreneurship Council, the Regional Councils of the Lewiatan Confederation, and the Headquarters of Pomeranian Entrepreneurs. A member of numerous esteemed bodies including the Economic Council of the Association of Universities in Gdańsk named after Daniel Fahrenheit, the Expert Council of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk, the Consultative Council of the Faculty of Management at the Gdańsk University of Technology, and the Board of the Gdańsk Foundation. He is the chairman of the Board of the Theatrum Gedanense Foundation and the Employers' Foundation of Pomerania.

Anna Pawłowska

Head of the Pomeranian Labor Market Observatory, Gdańsk

A PhD in Economics, she has extensive teaching experience at the University of Gdańsk and the WSB Merito University in Gdańsk (formerly the Higher Banking School). An expert specializing in the labor market, education, and lifelong learning, she is involved in project implementation, including research projects. Currently, she works at the Voivodeship Labour Office in Gdańsk, where she coordinates activities related to shaping regional labor market policy. Previously, from 2016 to 2022, she co-created and led the Pomeranian Labor Market Observatory.

Dorota Sobieniecka - Kańska

Director of the Gdańsk Business Club
 

Publisher, journalist, lecturer, public relations, and CSR advisor. A graduate of Polish philology at the University of Gdańsk.

Member of Consultative Boards at Hevelianum, faculties of Economics and Management, as well as Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics at the Gdańsk University of Technology, SME Advocate, Hospice Foundation Pomorze Dzieciom. Public relations advisor in various companies and institutions. Lecturer in PR, Media Relations, and business ethics. Editor and translator of book publications. Collaborator of the quarterly magazine "Słowo". Member of the Association of Polish Media and the International Federation of Journalists and Writers of Tourism at UNESCO.

Member of the Pomeranian Entrepreneurship Council and the Pomeranian Women's Team.

In the past, literary manager of the Musical Theatre under the direction of Jerzy Gruza; deputy editor-in-chief, editor-in-chief, columnist, and commentator for "Głos Wybrzeża"; president of the board of Baltic Press (publisher of the English-language bimonthly "Baltic Transport Journal"; director of the National Chamber of Maritime Economy.

Ewa Sowińska

Partner at ESO Audit. Former Member of the Board at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Experienced auditor with over 25 years of work experience in audit firms. Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Certified Auditors from 2015 to 2019. Member of the Program Board of the Open Eyes Economy Summit and the Solidarity in Development Congress. Member of the Consultative Board at the Faculty of Management and Economics of the Gdańsk University of Technology. Member of the Jury of the "ESG Eagles" competition organized by Rzeczpospolita (rp.pl). Member of the Program Board of the Kompas ESG Project co-organized by Forbes. Ambassador of the 30% Club Poland. Academic lecturer in business ethics and sustainable development. Initiator and Mentor of the postgraduate studies program #ESG in practice. Karolina Lipińska

Vice President of the Management Board, Energa Operator SA


Local government official with 20 years of experience, responsible for the development of entrepreneurship and innovation in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. She worked in international structures, where she learned about the mechanisms of interregional cooperation and appreciated the importance of networking resulting in the creation of international projects and initiatives. She coordinated work related to the implementation of the first regional policy of cluster development in Poland. The support models and good practices introduced in the Pomeranian Voivodeship were later implemented at the national level (National Key Clusters). She coordinates works related to the Regional Innovation Strategy, the key element of which are Pomeranian Smart Specializations as well as Pomeranian Offshore Platform (e.g. first Educational Offshore Fair EDU OFFSHORE WIND 2023 www.eduoffshorewind.pl/en ). Member of the cluster policy team at the Ministry of Development and Technology and Smart Specialisation Strategies Expert Group set up by DG REGIO EC. Observing the phenomena and processes taking place in the region, she notices the essence of the importance of entrepreneurial culture, mentality, motivation and creativity. She has the opportunity to research these phenomena scientifically on the basis of her doctoral dissertation results on the impact of informal institutions on the financing of R&D in enterprises. Publish and give lectures at the Gdansk University of Technology in the field of project management, innovation processes and EU funds.

Maciej Delebis

Researcher, manager. Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the field of marketing research and analysis. Since 2017, he has served as the President of the Management Board of the research agency PBS in Sopot (formerly the Social Research Laboratory), with which he has been associated since 2002.

As a member of the Polish Society of Market and Opinion Researchers (PTBRiO), the international organization ESOMAR, and the bodies of the Polish Market and Opinion Research Organization (OFBOR), he actively participates in developing knowledge and industry standards.
