The Department of Philosophy and Methodology of Sciences is a research and educational unit closely integrated with the Faculty of Management and Economics at Gdańsk University of Technology. Its staff members represent fundamental disciplines in the broad field of humanities and social sciences, including philosophy, sociology, and political science. The department offers educational programs primarily designed for undergraduate and graduate students, both in Polish and English. Here are some important milestones in the history of our department:

Team
The Department of Philosophy and Methodology of Sciences is a relatively small but exceptional department in many ways. Its interdisciplinary scientific approach and extensive research interests make it unique. Our team, consisting of professors and lecturers, specializes not only in classical philosophy (logic, German idealism, neo-Kantianism, phenomenology, social philosophy, and political philosophy, research methodology) but also in multidisciplinary projects that integrate theoretical-philosophical considerations with issues in economics, sociology, management, and political science (political economics, sociology of knowledge, sociology of the economy, critical management theory).

Teaching
