The maritime industry giant invites students to participate in a the hackathon!

Hackathon
For the first time, Polish students can take part in the competition, as part of an organized hackathon. Stena Line Propeller Prize will be held on:  April 23-24, 2024, in Karlskrona, Sweden.

The event, held under the patronage of the largest passenger carrier on the Baltic Sea, is organized in partnership with the Blue Science Park in Karlskrona and the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia. It is aimed at Polish and Swedish students in their final year of bachelor's or master's studies in such fields as: management, computer science, biotechnology, engineering or environmental protection, transportation, logistics and others related to the maritime industry.

How it works.

Participants, will be assigned to interdisciplinary, English-speaking teams, which within 24 hours will develop a solution proposal for the task set before them. What will it be about? The task will concern the maritime industry, and the participants' proposed solution should be innovative and sustainable.

The Stena Line Propeller Prize Hackathon is not just a competition; it is a platform for students to develop their skills, expand their network and gain practical experience by working on real cases presented by the carrier. The organizers cover travel and accommodation costs for the participants.

Thanks to our partnership in the organization of this year's hackathon, it is a unique opportunity for young, talented students at Tri-City universities to prove themselves in creative work, in an international environment on real tasks, as well as to establish valuable relationships that can bear fruit in their future careers," says Anna Borkowska, director of Pomeranian Science and Technology Park.

In addition to the invaluable experience gained by participating in the hackathon, the winners will have the opportunity to establish contacts with professionals in the maritime industry.

The Stena Line Propeller Prize Hackathon will be held at the Multi Lecture Hall, Blekinge Institute of Technology, in Karlskrona, Sweden.
