Organization of the Academic Year HERE

Please note the winter semester is held from October 1st to January 27th, summer semester is held from February 22nd to May 15th.

Exams sessions are as follows: January 28th to February 8th and May 17th to May 30th (yellow color)

Retake exams are as follows: February 10th to February 16th and May 31st  to June 6th (green color)

ECTS (the European Credit Transfer System)

*There are points assigned to all courses subject to grading in the curriculum. It is assumed that a student should obtain 30 points per semester.

* If you fail to obtain the appropriate number of points, you have a point debt. The permitted debt is up to 12 points, which you must pay off in the next semester (repeating the failed course and paying a fee)

* A debt of over 18 credit points means you will be removed from the student list.

Activating the account is easy:

2. Click New Account

3. Pick your password

5. ACCOUNT ACTIVATION (a login message will appear)

Now you can apply for an Electronic Student ID card! (More information about Student cards can be found HERE) 

Temporary Suspension of Electronic Student ID Card (ELS) Issuance from 13 July 2026

Please be advised that, following the entry into force of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 8 May 2026 (Journal of Laws of 2026, item 643), introducing a new design for Electronic Student ID Card (ELS) blanks effective 13 July 2026, the University has no choice but to temporarily suspend the issuance of plastic Electronic Student ID Cards (ELS). According to the information currently available, delivery of the new blanks is expected in September 2026.

Compulsory Training

When you start your studies at the GUT, you must complete 5 compulsory online courses:

*You should complete them before the start of the academic year, but if you are unable to do so, you can do it during the first semester!

*Remember to sign in to the eLearning platform at least once before the start of classes, because when you do, the teachers will be able to assign you to their courses with learning materials.
